Lauren "Lolo" Spencer is a creator overflowing with style and personality. A shining light in our River Island, St John Knits and Old Navy collaborations - Lolo currently balances her time between an actor, model, content creator and speaker. Since creating her Youtube channel “Sitting Pretty” in 2013, Lolo has grown into an influential figure for social initiatives and brands alike. As someone who defies stereotypes, Lolo’s ability to express herself via digital platforms has resulted in her creation of beautiful and meaningful content.
What does creativity mean to you?
Creativity means the opportunity to be completely fearless. It represents being free to do something you love and are passionate about.
How has influencer marketing changed your life?
It has changed my life by allowing me the opportunity to represent the disabled community in a way that breaks stereotypes of how disability lifestyle is perceived.
What, if any, tips would you like to share with other creators?
Have a purpose in anything you create.
How can people find longevity in this space?
By remaining authentically you in everything that you do and how you present yourself to the world.
How do you balance your time across different disciplines?
I do a little bit of work toward each category a day and take advantage of opportunities that crossover into my main purpose as a disability representative.
What would you like to do more of in the next 5 years?
I'd like to have greater brand awareness and be able to really push big name brands to see the disability community being represented in more campaigns. On the customer side, I want to see the community to be treated as valuable consumers, especially POC with disabilities. It would represent a huge step in the right direction.
