Business Affairs Manager - Role and Responsibilities
The Business Affairs Manager will advise on BA related matters across Whalar EMEA, working in collaboration with SVP Business Affairs in the New York office. You will have a background in advertising, talent or influencer and be experienced in identifying legal and cultural issues across EMEA. You thrive in a fast-paced environment and are a collaborative team player in all aspects of your work.
Your Role Entails:
Collaboration with commercial, client, finance, operational and senior leadership team from different parts of the world
Advising, planning and coordinating all aspects of Business Affairs
Drafting/reviewing client Statement of Works and legal documentation
Drafting/reviewing vendor agreements to ensure compliance with Client SOW’s and MSA’s
Supporting commercial teams with procurement negotiations and documentation
Supporting delivery team with talent contracts and negotiations
Draft/review talent contracts including influencer and celebrity endorsements for domestic and global use
Advising team on intellectual property and copyright issues
The Ideal Person
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Highly experienced in contract administration and strong negotiation skills
Experience in talent agreements and negotiation
Understands, and can execute against, the nuances in legal necessities of individual countries
Can lead and mentor others on all matters related to Business Affairs
Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and on multiple projects
You Bring
5+ years’ experience in a similar role at a similar agency - advertising/influencer/talent background preferred
Passionate about advertising and social media
