We’re looking for a Visual Production Assistant to join our in house Creative Team at Whalar, working out of our London offices.

Whalar is a global influencer marketing agency, on a mission to make advertising more personable, culturally relevant and effective through the inclusion of all creative voices. The Creative Team works alongside our commercial and tech teams to support and deliver content that brings to life Whalar’s identity as a leading voice within the digital marketing space.

In this role you will support our Visual Content Producer in the end-to-end production of our in house video content, and social strategy. The right candidate will be someone who is excited about creating innovative and unique video content, optimised for social platforms - with a particular focus on Instagram and YouTube.

It’s imperative that you have a comprehensive knowledge of the Adobe Creative Suite, namely Premiere Pro, After Effects and Photoshop. Additionally, you will have an eye for optimising new creative opportunities to help elevate our commercial campaign work with brands including 20th Century Fox, Nike, and Net-a-Porter. A keen interest in and understanding of the social influencer space will also be an advantage.

Role and Responsibilities

An enthusiasm for the development of video and short-form storytelling within social and digital advertising.
Strong experience of video editing in Premiere Pro.
Understanding and practise of animation in After Effects.
Good knowledge of Photoshop.
Experience developing creative concepts, treatments and call sheets for pre-production.
Flexibility to meet the need for occasional location shooting.
The ability to collaborate with different commercial teams across our global offices.
A desire to grow and develop your craft with the help and knowledge of those around you.
A fast learner, who is comfortable collaborating with others.
Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects.
An understanding of publishing on social platforms, in particular Instagram and YouTube.
Is culturally clued up on the social and influencer space.

Experience and Requirements

Proven industry experience.
Fluent in Adobe Creative Suite, including Premiere Pro, After Effects and Photoshop.
Good understanding of digital advertising and storytelling through video.
Experience in end-to-end video production.
Creative vision and strong writing skills.
Ability to multitask and prioritise assignments.
Demonstrable knowledge of current social media technologies and platforms.


Experienced DSLR shelf shooter.
Understanding of colour-grading and audio mastering.
